Agency Hangouts on Google+
A world-first initiative for students to connect with the brains behind some of Australia's best advertising and media.

BCM is one of Australia's Brisbane's largest and most awarded advertising agencies. As AdNews Agency of the Year, 2011 and only Queensland agency ranked in the Top 10 AdNews Digital Rankings, BCM likes to take risks and aim for 'firsts'.

Already developing social media strategy for Facebook and Twitter, we were excited about the opportunities for brands on Google+. As the Agency's "Google+ Girl", I recognised an opportunity for brands to host Hangouts, and together with our Head of Interactive Strategy, we launched BCM Agency Hangouts.

Agency Hangouts is a world-first initiative (as far as we know) that invites advertising and marketing students to connect with the brains behind some of Australia's best advertising.

Using the Google+ Hangouts feature, up to 14 students could chat with a BCM'er each week, including our creative director, business partner, account managers and media staff. An open chat session, students asked the tough questions about how to make it in advertising and gain a behind the scenes look at what it's like to work in an award winning agency.
