OVERVIEW:

The Objective of this project was to explore utilization of 'Information Structures' for organized product design. The project expanded on how structures like hierarchies, indexes, sequences and associations can help in better organization of information, and result in an optimized design for end user.
I built a LET's GO: A travel website providing reviews of travel-related content and genral information on the city of interest.
The website was built using XML in XML in conjunction with XSLT and HTML, CSS and JavaScript for better aesthetics as well as look and feel.
COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS:

For this project, I majorly analyzed three competing websites that are leading provider of travel information. Resrarch questions that were sought during the analysis were:
 (1) How are individual pages of their websites categorized
 (2) How are individual information items organized on individual pages?
 (3) How each item is uniquely identified? And how does user navigate to it?
 (4) How many clicks does it require for user to get to the full view of an item?
 (5) Can user easily navigate to the item after revisiting the site without getting lost?
 (6) How is the full view of an information item and its various attributes presented?
WIREFRAMES:

Based on competitive analysis, low fidelity wirefrmaes were developed.
HIGH FIDELITY PROTOTYPES:

Based on feedback received from user reviews was incorporated to design high fidelity prototypes of the website.
