Earlier this year, I was given an interesting task of designing a sex education website for adults. Called TurnOn.com, the site discusses sex and relationships in a fun, cheeky yet sexy tone through their articles and reviews.
One of my tasks was to create a character that fits the brand; an icon that will be usable throughout their promotional products.
Different characters and settings were explored in the rough phases.
At the beginning, we planned the concept of the character around an old indian guru, but we explored. Many sketches later, we decided to front the brand with a young female guru, as she is much more relatable to both male and female audiences.
I tried out different clothes and hairstyles for the guru, and included a more detailed settling.
