My work: strategy, central idea and naming.
Briefing: In March 2010, Pfizer Oncology wanted a PR Event that, on world kidney day, could raise general public awareness to kidney diseases and to preventive, diagnosis behaviour. But, there are a lot of disease awareness days and events.
Idea: My goal was to create something that, with low to medium budget, could stand out from the crowd. So, the idea was to create a Stand-Up Comedy Show that could be seriously funny in raising awareness to the cause. Aditionally, for every person in the audience, Pfizer donates 10€ to Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro.
Results: Huge. Many of the best portuguese comedians gladly participated (Bruno Nogueira, Salvador Martinho, Marco Horácio, Pedro Tochas,...), wide press coverage (tv, press, radio and blogs) and a real financial contribution to the cause. In just 3 days, all the seats of Tivoli we´re taken. Pfizer liked the event so much, that "Comédia por uma Causa Séria" now happens every year.
