Logo for streetfood chain "Dymov. Hot dog & Grill"

"Dymov" is one of the main Russian makers in sausage industry.

They decided to give a revival to Russian traditions of street food using their own high quality ingredients.
"Dymov" kiosks have already opened in different parks of Moscow.

For now, logos for street food are mainly created in american traditions.

In my work I specifically wanted to give a shot to traditions of Moscow signs

from pre-revolutionary period (early XX century).
From the beginning logo was created to be painted on wooden signs

using traditional technique of sign painting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Client chose from two concepts: first one (and approved one) was made in Russian sign painting traditions

of the beginning of the XX century, second one — styled as soviet sign from 1950-s.
