I bought the collector's edition DVD which included these figure of Coraline.
She could not stand up properly, had a basic stand-base, a poor make-up the eyes must be fixed definetelly...
What kind of hair was that?!!! Mmmm

Work on the new sourface. Fixing imperfection. Adjusting color lips, detition ,etc.
I think I got it!...
Making the base of the wellingtons boots.
She looks like...Forest Gump here but it's absolutely necessary.
CHALLENGE: Working on the Splash Water FX
This was quite complicated...
It must be enough thin to get the perfect transparency of the real water but firm at the same time...
I worked little by little, layer by layer.
Working on differents kind of layers. Some one transparents and others brown opaques to simulate mud.
She is very small... I used brushed from Nº 000 to Nº1.
Working on new make-up and face's surface.
Blue nail polish and Brown mud stains!

The high-lights are on eyes and dentition now. It's looks like a soft matte silicon.
Painting detail:The dragonfly hair-clip is really, really small so I used a needle for minor details.

SECOND CHALLENGE: CORALINE'S HAIR PROCESS
I consider Coraline's hair her most important sign of identity.
I have been hard-working on it and now I feel happy with her new wig which can be ANIMATED/Posable!
I've also increased the motion fxs (splashes, drops, "secondary animation" on hair&clothes)
new dragonfly hair clip, new red posable velvet bag, etc.
With different size of wires, silicon, electric blue-hair, patience and "tests-error"... Finally I created a proper poseable wig.
The shape is bit out of the original one but I wanted to increase the freedom of the hair's movement and the feeling of the moment.
