Trajectories was commissioned as a cover and lead visual for the first issue of the redesigned Communications of the ACM. Created with Processing, the images are generated by a 3D particle system based on a branching growth logic. This branching strategy is often used to model tree growth, but this variation suggests a network structure rather a natural form.
