At the beginning of the year we reached out to Oliphant and decided we wanted to have one of their beautiful custom backdrops made to really concentrate on shooting more portraiture this year. This was our first time getting to use it in the studio so we tried to get a variety of looks and lighting set-ups throughout the day.
These shots were inspired by one of my favorite photographers - Dean Bradshaw - and a series he did called "1917". We took a little Texas-twist on it and channeled our Country roots with the song "I'll Be Here Cleaning My Gun".
