This is a group work realised with my classmates Anita Rosti and Lisa Maria Uguzzoni.
We were assigned the name of a designer with the aim of conducting a research
about him to produce a poster that illustrated his work. We were assigned Pierre Faucheux,
a printmaker and graphic designer of the Second Postwar period who brought great innovation
in book design in France.

The front of the poster is inspired by the covers of the J.J. Pauvert ‘s Libertès Collection, which contain
classic and subversive descriptions of rebellion. Libertès covers are a clear example of the great  work
of Pierre Faucheux. They show the cohesion between form and contents. In the book cover Faucheux
freely uses a kraft paper,a flyer format and the typical characters for a poster, with a bold and black typography expressing all the spirit of radical politics. We were inspired by this cover to show Pierre Faucheux’s motto
«Toujours innover» (To innovate, always breaking the new basis).

The backside offers a complete focus on Pierre Faucheux, starting from the context and covering all the areas
of his work from the book as an object to typography and iconography.
