“Sounds of Madrid” was the project developed for Día de la Música´s 2013 festival.
The aim was to highlight the emotional connection to Madrid and its music, and to celebrate its 8th edition
as one of the few strong music festivals that take place in the capital.
The concept came out of the visual experimentation at first, trying to represent visually how Madrid sounds.
These sounds of the city were translated into animated shapes and colors that gave life to all the festival´s graphical identity. BeGun, one of the musicians playing at the festival, was the one in charge of composing Madrid´s anthem inspired on his musical sensations about the city.
The poster is designed with stills from the audio reactive projection that was created,
and incorporates a QR code so that it can be watched at anytime with a mobile device.
