Align Everything to Grid
This project is titled “Tell Don’t Sell, Make Your Mark”. It encourage us to find our
truth, define our story and tell the world. Everyone has their own characteristic, story. For me, I have chosen to share
my “align everything to grid” hobby.
We always align graphic elements to grid in design software, and my “align everything to grid”
hobby means aligning items that around me to grid. For example, my records collection,
dining area and workspace.

I believe publication is the best media to demonstrate my story in this situation because a series of
photos has to be shown and description is included as well. In the publication, five items were
chosen as examples of my hobby. Photos are shown on the left and information graphics with the
same perspective are shown on the right.
I have used hardcover for the publication because my idea is to make a book like photography
books. Since this is a documentary of my life, grey scale tone is used instead of full color tone. Black
background with white book title can be seen, it is a contrast to the white-based content page.
Different grids are printed on tracing papers which placed above
the information graphics part as well.
The size of the publication is slightly smaller than A3 in 4:3 ratio, which can show
the photos and dimensions clearly.
