Centro Sans Compressed is part of a larger type system that includes an extra condensed and a condensed version which all together complement the award-winning Centro Sans Pro type family. It was originally developed for the redesign of the Financial Times Deutschland newspaper in order to offer a strong readable custom font family which managed to retain the serious reputation of the newspaper. Specific versions were developed for headlines, body text, captions and charts. Centro Sans is a type system with distinct personality which stands out at large sizes. It does not attract any unnecessary attention at small sizes but it still gives you the essence of a very clean, expressive, legible and modern set of typefaces which makes it an ideal choice for newspapers, magazines and corporate applications. Centro Sans Compressed comes with 16 styles including true-italics, whereas the Centro Sans type system offers a comprehensive range of 66 font variations.
