We were asked by Beam Global to deliver an idea that would blow theBar.com out of the water. This is what we proposed.
The James B. Beam Definitive Guide to Cocktails and Culture is the ultimate bar book. I doesn't just provide cocktail recipes, but takes the user through a cultural journey to provide them with both context and entertainment. User picks cocktail tracks (tiki, prohibition, girls night out, etc), and earns expertise badges by checking drinks off their list and checking into track related hotspots. Location services tie into local bars, hotels, and restaurants related to current tracks. Tracks allow branded integration (Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Sex in the City, James Bond, etc).
