North West Regional Assembly

This project responded to the emerging agenda for a building to house the Regional Assembly in the North West.  Studies were undertaken of the six main settlements in the region to help identify the important spatial characteristics of its siting.  Liverpool held the most appropriate site for the building and a scheme was developed responding to both the topography of the site and the architectural typography of this kind of civic building.  The design explored the inter-relationship of these subjective and objective characteristics.
