I want to talk about two stories through this exhibition.
First,
Whereas the first exhibition talked about the fact that aesthetics and honesty are values that can co-exist, by leveraging the “materials,” butterfly and bamboo tree, this exhibition went even further, by focusing on the “space” that these materials face. I sought to express the fact that it is indeed possible to unfold greater dreams only when butterfly and bamboo tree try to break out of the frame after raising awareness that butterfly and bamboo tree too can get trapped in a frame.

Because art is visual art, work is carried out to show it to someone. There are many instances in which paintings are simply hung on white walls. On the contrary, I wanted to ensure that this exhibition will enable effective and sufficient communication between the artworks and the place where they will be displayed. While working on my artworks, I tried to emphasis that a painting is valid as a form of visual art only when they form an organic harmony with the space where we live presently. In addition, I used the materials that are normally used for interior design so that they can play the role of an intersection for the artworks and the space.
I hope that we can contemplate together on how these two spaces are expressed; the space where the butterfly and bamboo tree that represent beauty and honesty form the emotional viewpoint and the space where the artworks are displayed.
