To me, right-mindedness and beauty are not like the head or tail of a coin or a double-edged sword. Instead, they always need to co-exist and continue to communicate with each other to ensure compatibility at all times. It is virtually impossible to ensure co-existence and harmony if reliance on one alone is too heavy.
Throughout the centuries, we held negative images of right-minded people, considering them too rigid and devoid of flexibility while we considered those who pursue beauty as dissolute and lazy people. These two had indeed become like two hares that are difficult to catch with one stone.
In artwork, the bamboo tree and the butterfly represent right-mindedness and beauty, respectively. On the outside, visual beauty and harmony of colors were pursued while an effort was made to express a world where inner beauty and right-mindedness co-exist in harmony when.
Through hard work, I would like to become a straight and right-minded person who knows how to appreciate art. Hopefully, this work will be remembered as an artwork that can accurately express the artist’s intent while presenting visual joy to the viewers.
