The Idea:
We launched the Land of quattro® microsite and with it, our very own quattro® view. Every road in South Africa has already been filmed frame by frame by Google Street View. We created a technology that simply allowed visitors to drag and drop pins onto a map and turn any road into a dashboard video.

We utilized a combination of Google Maps, hyperlapse technology and YouTube.
The end result was a simple drag and drop mapping system that seamlessly rendered
a video out of the Street View images.

Driving an Audi with quattro® technology is seamless and intuitive. We wanted a user to navigate
and experience the microsite in the same way.
Simple iconography was developed the aid smooth navigation through the site.

In the end we created a user generated video. This was a collection of the best submitted routes from all over the country. The unique player that housed the video drew its visuals directly from locations pre-set on Google Maps.
In the background it stitched together the images from Street View and loaded titles as an overlay and music to supplement the journey.
