Frederik Cilliers started his career at South Africa’s leading comics and animation company, Strika Entertainment in 2005. He then furthered into publishing with South Africa’s largest book publisher Random House in Cape Town in 2007, before taking up an opportunity at Media24 to work on magazine titles including National Geographic Traveller, Real Simple and Seventeen. Towards the end of 2009, he joined the Cape Town office of Ogilvy & Mather. He then excelled his career within the company and was promoted to Head of Design at OgilvyOne. After that he took the opportunity to join BBDO Proximity in Germany as a Senior Art Director working on global clients including Mars, Gauloises, Rizla+.

Cilliers has played a pivotal role in recent award-winning work for the agency including Send Your Facebook Profile to Cape Town for Cape Town Tourism, which, in 2013, received a Gold Cannes Lion for Branded Content and entertainment. Other work includes #AudiA3Exchange for Audi and Volkswagen’s Street Quest which received the coveted Grand Prix award at the 2013 Annual Loerie Awards. Fred has received a number of international accolades including awards at Cannes, Clio Awards, OneShow Interactive and his work has been featured in the 2013 Communication Arts Interactive Annual.
