Hi. I'm Moontm. I work at Unity Technologies Korea and develop games as a hobby. I've made a game titled 'Wedding Run', a mobile invitation for my wedding, which became a hot issue in Korea. I released the game globally as well, but it seems that the game didn't get much attention abroad as it did in Korea.
The game I've been working on for 5 months after my honeymoon, after work and on almost every weekend, is finally released! So I'd like to explain about the game briefly, as well as write down various experiences I've been through developing the game. It's been a long road, giving up many weekends, all christmas holidays, new year's day, and even the time to play basketball which I enjoy very mucy(actually the winter was too cold for basketball) to work on developing. Now that the game is released, I feel extremely free and relaxed.
Before I began to make the game , I doubted whether I could be a single developer and a salary man at the same time. Well, though it is called 'single' developing, it wouldn't have been possible without encouragement and advice from others, which supported my spirit greatly.
At the same time, this project made me realize that developing a game alone became very convenient these days, with abundant resources online and various programming references. (Yet I would like to find a teammate if I were to try another.)
anyway, let's get to the point. This game I'm newly introducing is 'Dungeon 999F'. The objective is rather simple: players have to clear all 999 floors of a dungeon with two main characters- Jack, the wandering swordsman and Rose, a magician.

its initial title was 'Slime Hunter', which was changed to 'Slime Slayer', 'Slime Pang', 'Watch your back, Slime' and so on, and eventually ended up with a totally different name, 'Dungeon 999F'. The reason for it was to remind players that this game does have an ending. I recently came across many games which do not have an ending at all. Playing such games, there comes a moment that makes me think 'Until when should I play this??'. From that point, I often get bored of the game, since it feels like a burden rather than a fun activity. That's why I decided to inform the players from the start that the game has a conclusion(To be frank, I also wanted to avoid the inconvenience of explaining the whole plot.) Some might think that 999 stages are too few for a paid game, but once you start, you won't worry about the play time because it's long enough!

In fact, the logic of the game is very simple. There is a certain mana point requirement for each floor, and all you need to do is protect Rose the magician until you collect the required points and clear the stage.
It's not, though, just another monotonous defense game, in which you simply have to protect the magician. There are various slimes with differing patterns each floor, and players need to control Jack's move and cast appropriate spells accordingly. You should establish a certain strategy for different type of slimes,
You should establish a certain strategy for different type of slimes, freezing them sometimes, delivering a wide-range attack, or using confusion spell to turn slimes' attention.

As the game proceeds, more powerful slimes will appear, and the number of slimes emerging will also increase. Players need to advance the characters' stats by training their ability or learning new spells.
(You don't need to worry about the money used for training within the game, because the setting allows you to earn plenty of golds)
I shall curtail my words now. Playing the game yourself will explain the system much better.
At first I was planning to release it for free, but then I came across an anxiety that it might not survive in the competitive free market. I eventually priced the game at 999 won(KR), apparently 1 won for 1 floor. It might sound like a nonsense, but I think it is quite inexpensive considering that 1 stage costs only 1 won (or is it just me?)
'Dungeon 999F' is available both in App Store and Google Play.

Anyway, I'm afraid you might remember me as a businessman from Korea who visited just to sell his game, so I'd like to write something more than just promoting the game. These are the tips on single-developing a game as a hobby which I uploaded on my blog
At first I tried to write something like a journal to show you the chronological sequence of developing the game, but at the point where the game is already completed, I had a dim recollection of the process and thus was afraid of romanticizing the past based on faint memory. So I decided to write down the keywords that came to my mind. Then it became much conveneint for others to read. I hope this could be helpful to all prospective One man armys.
