I had the unique opportunity to work with Christy Wylie of Mantra Marketing on this project. Collarborating with a marketing mind and great writer made my job as a designer and production artist fun and more focused on the creative aspect.
We were tasked with recreating a pocket folder with a number of flyers for Lutheran Sunset MInistries, a retirement community loated near Waco, TX. (http://lutheransunset.org/) To balance quality with cost, we produced stacking flyers of different lengths to showcase the 5 different types of housing LSM offers.
Each folder included the stacked flyers on the right, plus more specific flyers in the left pocket that are tailored to the needs and interests of the prospective member and family. This way each folder was assembled only with the flyers needed which eliminated waste.
We had beautiful photography to work with and wanted to showcase it. The footers of all the pieces match the newly updated website and direct the client to the specific contact information. We used their identity's color scheme to color code the different housing options.
On the left side of the folder, we had in depth information about each housing option available. Then, each pocket folder would have the tiered flyers on the right that gave the client an overview of all services, while the left contained specific information for them. Examples were long-term care, memory support, or even independent living and hospice. Each packet matched the color and photography of the tiered flyers.
Below is an example of some of a packet for the left side. It shows an overview of the housing, plus specific floor plans, prices, amenities, and services. It even included a list of local restaurants, churches, annual festivals and other social activities.
We also created a number of print and web ads for the new programs. We organized all of the publications, ad specs, deadlines and file types.
