    I redsigned a poster, blue ray cover and motion title for the movie "Get on Up: A James Brown Story". In the poster I used bright colors to represent his bright and colorful music career. I added textures I collected by going to different fabric stores and thrift stores to show the texture he introduced to the music industry, also known as funk. Aside from his flamboyant career, James had a hard childhood and it seemed that everything he went through as a kid ripped through time and reflected through his actions as an adult and the ripples in his hair represents the vibrations of his childhood. On the blue ray cover I used the same type of ideas to be cohesive with the poster to create one movement. I pulled a quote from the original case and created a nice type lock up. In the motion I created a few more illustrations that help carry you through the things in James Brown's life that impacted his music and his life. To sum it all up, the vibrations of his childhood reflected in his music and life decisions. No matter how old he got, the child in him never died. Read Less
