The design is heavily influenced by classic tree constructions (tree house, tree bench, etc). It is an approach as to how could a tree trunk be a supporting and connecting part of an office desk, a shelf and a locker.
The shelves are designed to mimic a branch's angle and slope so that the books can stand on their own without the need of supporting bookends.
One of the challenges faced during this design was to keep the resemblance to the trees and its branches and yet create a piece of furniture that could be placed in any modern house even with minimalistic aesthetics.
