Color forecasting began by looking at high end fashion to spot trends to form our stories around. From the images, we are able to form stories around several noticeable categories including: abstract, cartoon, futuristic and 70s. I was assigned the abstract category and moved on to searching for abstract shoes. From this investigation, we started to see relative color patterns emerge for Fall 2016. This allowed me to make a color palette based off my story which I then had to apply to an existing shoe. I of course selected my favorite shoe, the Nike women’s Sky Hi, to do color applications. From my selected palette, I was required to show a commercial, abstract and trendy color application applied to the shoe.
