Mike Friton hosted a footwear workshop at Polytechnic University in Hong Kong. We covered three various ways of quickly prototyping a shoe. First we learned how to draft a last and make a one-piece upper. Then we were introduced to draping a last with materials for different pleating. Finally, we experimented with the braiding and weaving of materials to create an upper.
