The brief was to design a new and innovative product for the Early Learning Centre brand. I used inspiration from my favourite toy as a child which was a ride on car. These toys promote physical development and encourage children to play outdoors and experience the world around them.

Ziggy the "Rock N Roll" Zebra is an innovative iteration of the popular ride on car. As the child pushes along with their feet, Ziggy gently rocks back and for replicating the natural movement of an animal. This is more fun for the child and a more life-like character is more favourable to imaginative play.

In essence, Ziggy forms 3 children's toys in 1 - a fun sit on and ride on toy, with a brake applied he becomes a static rocking horse/ seesaw and also, with the help of the children's imagination, a pull along play companion to encourage social interaction with other children.
