Tasked with creating a fun and eye-catching movie poster for the new Men In Black 3 film we began the creative design process by producing various tentacle designs that would suit the brief. Just like the sci-fi comedy Men In Black films we knew the poster had to be out of this world and alien but also realistic. We feel that the final chosen design and fully CGI image bring all these aspects together. Our image was seen by millions and used to promote the movie across the UK.
This is the digitally sculpted model in Zbrush, a high res sculpt so we got some nice surface highlights and the fleshy shader has some nice subtlety to it.
