Aurea is a speaker that works with electrodynamic transducers. These components let the surface vibrate, and generate sound through it.
In the speaker there are two transducers. One puts in vibration the glass and It is dedicated to the mid-high frequencies. The other one is located on the base, and it's dedicate to the mid-low frequencies.
The glass weighs 3 kg. This is ok for the transducer on the base but the one for the high-mid frequencies need just 0,6 kg for generate the correct vibrations through the glass. For this reason the glass has an angle of 11 degree, to generate the right force component ( F1 ).
It's also possible rotate the glass. It works anyway, because the mass remains the same.
