Hutcheson Hall began life in the early 1800’s as a memorial to George and Thomas Hutcheson, two of Glasgow’s wealthiest merchants who had previously founded Hutchesons Hospital at the Trongrate and Hutchesons Grammar School.
After taking on the lease in 2013, The Rusk Company worked with The National Trust for Scotland restoring the Grade ‘A’ listed landmark and transforming it into a high end bar and restaurant

The Rusk Company approached Sevenfive Creative to help create a brand fitting for such an iconic venue. The brief was to create a brand and roll-out for a bar and brasserie that would offer classic, french styled cuisine alongside a chic cocktail bar. The look and feel had to be approachable yet still reference the buildings illustrious history and heritage.

Hutchesons comes with history built in and this was the starting point for creating an identity that would spearhead the brand and for the development of further materials. Using the original Hutchesons family crest we were able to produce an identity not only fitting of the venue but also incorporating elements from the unique history.
