Every Friday afternoon, crowds from all over UAE gather around Fujairah corniche to watch an hour of UAE's own unique version of bullfighting. Unlike european bullfights, it is not a bloody struggle to the death between man the beast but a contest of strength between two intimidating bulls.

The contest is between two bulls and is bloodless. The bulls lock horns and wrestle until the weaker or peace loving one of the two gives up and runs away (to the embarrassment of its owner).

Bullfighting is a tradition in Fujairah. It is entertainment but it is also a matter of pride for the bull owners when their animals win.

These bullfights take place every Friday afternoon at around 4:30PM (except for the summer months). There is no fee and everyone is welcome to enjoy Fujairah's unique version of bullfight.
