The Umbrella Chronicles
There was a market which served almost like an amusement park where a worldwide culture thrives in bewildering warmth. Then, there was an art house which I saw as a sanctuary and oasis for the wild and creative spirits of the city and neighboring cities to flourish and express their spirits both for themselves and to the vivid delight of the viewers.
This project was conducted through the artist-in-residence program of the Parlour Arts Laboratory in Preston, Melbourne.
The Parlour
The Umbrella Chronicles is a representation of all the sentiments and mindsets that I had been stumbling upon during a week’s voyage throughout the city of Preston. It was a constant wheel of events which unfolded remarkably and dramatically each passing day.There was a mix of nostalgia and excitement, constant obsessions to find company yet bounded by the limitations of funds; there were relentless dark skies accompanied by timely, yet odd appearances of startling sunsets.
