同樣身為自行車愛好者的藝術家邁克說，挑戰騎自行車環遊台灣，雖然不是那麼容易，但卻是看見台灣美景的最佳途徑，或許這也是這位領隊每一次帶領大大小小的團體，騎在台灣的環台公路上的心情。也因為帶領過這麼多人，經過迎風的沿海、連續上坡，或是騎進城市之中，深深明白每一次的成功環島，不僅是完善的後勤或是領隊的經驗，更重要的是完成的決心。

聽見自己即將帶領一群如此高齡的「不老騎士」，許多的煩惱油然而生，然而這卻是一場出乎意料的旅程。從實際接觸時發現每一位叔叔阿姨保養得宜，其中甚至還有位被稱作「噴射機阿嬤」如此美名的阿姨；實際上路後，更加令人驚喜的是不老騎士們不但沒有落後，反而進度每每超過團隊的安排，總是提早抵達飯店，讓領隊不得不笑著阻止大家「太早到了還不能check-in啦」。

旅途當中，逐漸了解到叔叔阿姨們各自的背景，無論是老師、公司董事長，或者是退休的運動員，彼此都有著豐富且不同的生命經驗，和參加者們聊天的過程中也明白為什麼都這把年紀了還要挑戰環島。一切都是因為一個目標：相信自己，不留遺憾。而這一趟環島也有別以往帶領其他團隊的，為身為領隊的自己帶來更多體悟，只要相信長輩並陪伴著他們，他們也能夠完成挑戰，而他們的熱情與人生經驗，也會回過頭感染彼此。

看見邁克為自己創作的自行車，是由三輛單車共同撐起一個熱氣球。對於邁克而言，身為領隊在工作以外，更是一種生活方式，考驗著自己的耐心、熱情與領導能力。而這座熱氣球就是象徵著每一次帶領大家追尋的榮耀與幸福感。對於故事的主角而言，這輛自行車最大的意義在於，三輛單車分別代表著完善的後勤補給、領隊的騎行經驗，與參與者無數的人生經驗。三者共同組成一個團隊，並為彼此帶來更多的分享、學習。

During the journey, I gradually learned about the backgrounds of the uncles and aunts. Whether they are teachers, company directors, or retired athletes, they all have rich and different life experiences. I also understand why they are all in the process of chatting with the participants. I have to challenge the island when I get older. Everything is because of one goal: to believe in yourself and leave no regrets. And this round of the island is different from leading other teams in the past, bringing more understanding to yourself as the team leader. For Mike, being a team leader outside of work is a way of life that tests his patience, enthusiasm and leadership.
