The assignment
This exercise's purpose was to create the visual identity of an hypothetical exhibition, so I chose to realize it for an exhibition about Kandinskij because I love his paintings.
The concept
Kandinsky's works are usually divided into three groups whose common denominator is The Principle of inner Necessity, as he says in Concerning the spiritual in art:
"1. Impressions of the "outer nature" in graphic pictorial. I call these paintings" Impressions ".
2. Expressions, especially unaware, for the most unexpected of mental events, and then impressions of "inner nature". I call these paintings "improvisations".
3. Expressions who have the same genesis (very slow) but that, after the first sketches,I examine almost pedantically. I call these paintings "Compositions". here are the fundamental reason, consciousness, intentionality, the purpose. this compositions do not obey the calculation, but the feelings ".
From this the proposal, which has the aim of communicate the three periods isolating only some characterizing element: the element will look similar to a musical note took apart from a musical composition that Inserted In the composition of the artwork creates, as Kandinsky himself said: A melody, a symphony or an arrhythmia.

Furthermore the selected elements fill a triangular shape, because of the relation between the triangle and the spiritual life in Kandinsky's theory.
