Monologue

The work is performed as an audio installation and goes into a loop. There is one female voice in the form of a monologue.
Everything contains a mirror within itself, we read ourselves in everything and the artwork exists only in us. The speed of the speech and the preferences for the individual accents and words in this work prevent us to consciously understand the sense and the meaning of the story. Trying to find balance and sense in everything, we take hold of words in our consciousness and use them to make a collage that builds a story from personal symbols and experiences. The circular form creates a field with no beginning and no end, and takes the moment of entering the work as its beginning. The infinite monologue becomes a mantra, but its rapidity and restlessness turn the listening experience and the gathered sense into the opposite of calmness. It becomes upsetting or frightening, depending on the length of the listening. That way the course and the meaning of the story constantly change, accentuating the metaphysical aspect of the variability in individual and instantaneous understanding (reading).
