Have At It The 5th; Dance Game Tournament Logo

The Have At It tournament series is a competitive dance game event held in Newport News, VA. This tournament has featured both dance games: Konami's Dance Dance Revolution and Andamiro's Pump It Up. The tournament that was held in 2013 only featured Pump It Up, but it had the largest attendance in the tournament's history, which made this project experience all the better.
The tournament organizer, a good friend of mine, asked me to create a logo that would brand the 5th tournament. The tournament's tagline, "I got it on the 5th" is a quote from the BBC Three documentary, "Lord of the Dance Machine". (The quote is popular in the dance game community and is often used as a light joke.)
The logo was used for both promotional material, as well as a t-shirt design. The logo was simple, yet eye-catching, with Pump It Up's signature arrows embellishing the t-shirt. This was a fantastic and memorable experience, as I've been active in the dance game community for over 8 years. This was a great opportunity to give back the community, as well as gain valuable experience in branding and logo design.
