Makerspace - A collection of side projects

Here are a few fun maker-projects I have done. They are mainly oriented around the use of 3D printing and some Arduino modding.
3D printed ORGANIC STONE FOUNTAIN

The organic stone fountain is a drinking fountain I made for out cat. I experimented with particle simulation to get the right organic feel and then created the mechanical parts in traditional CAD and then 3d printed it on my home printet.

STL's are available for download from Thingverse
FORCE TABLE - Distance controller for height adjustable table.

The force controlled table is my first Arduino project. It's an Arduino Uno and a distance sensor connected to the controller of the motors on my hightadjustable table. I also 3d printed a case for the package.
I can now control the height of the table just as I was Yoda pulling the X-wing from the swamp.

I really like how the very intuitive gesture of placing your hand at an appropriate height above the table interacts with the table's motors.

INSTRUCTABLE availabe here

Made spring 2015
IKEA LEKA play mat

The IKEA LEKA playmat mod is a little project I made with my wife. The purpose was to introduce a bit of nature to the play mat and also play around a bit in CAD and 3d print some components.

I have also made an INSTRUCTABLE from it which was featured in their play section.
