SAARISTO - Guggenheim Museum, Finland (Competition)

GUGGENHEIM-SAARISTO is based on an idea we call Translational Archi-ology. It is the translated relationship between different locally important sites layered onto the proposed intervention. This layering creates a new set of relationships inherent to the intervention but also grounded in the local cultural context. SAARISTO is the fusion of two such sites. A small group of islands in the Baltic Sea and Senators Square.
