Renovation - Gold Prize 2015
The Midtown Marta Station was an urban investigation on the development of air rights for the existing station. The existing building is an example of brutalism with a very dense mass accented by a massive concrete waffle slab. The objective for this development was to create a destination within the Midtown district in which would bring more than just a daily traveler to the site. The project will also merge the current architectural indentity with the needs and aesthetics of the 21st century.
