As English was spreading around the world, it was also adapting and absorbing, soaking up vocabulary from elsewhere. Chinglish, means spoken or written English language that is influenced by the Chinese Language. The term "Chinglish" is mostly applied to phrases not following grammatical rules, words that make no sense or simply Chinese words written using the English alphabet using sounds. Many chinglish words are classified as ‘non-words’ as they have not yet made it into the Oxford English Dictionary.
