El lissitzky is one of my favorite  artists.

Lissitzky, with a taste for architecture and other 3D concepts, tried to expand suprematism beyond this.

So when he made his art work he mixed construction(concept of 3D) and art(concept of 2D). 
This is known as ‘proun’.
