Photographer Alan Powdrill's personal project 'SHOCKER'.
This humorous series in Alan’s signature style, brings together stunning locations with quirky styling and an air of mystery to create a set of images that are mesmerizing to look at.
Represented retoucher Stefano Cherubini lent his talented hand to retouch the series and explains what went into the post-production stages.
“It was great to work with Alan Powdrill recently. We approached this set of images by sitting down together, and hashing out a plan and a visual style for the imagery. Whilst Alan wanted the grade to look a little quirky and offbeat, he was very conscious of these looking too twee as a result so wanted to ensure they were grounded in a sense of realism as well as looking visually interesting. Meticulous detail went into enhancing the lighting and mixed lighting was added to really make the colours pop!”
