Stuart Smythe
Smythe blends the now, the then and the what could be. He is inspired by humans and their unconditioned condition of mistakes and imperfections.

A veritable think tank of ideas and creative impulses, Smythe draws reference from vintage typography, signage, media and the human voice. Saturated hues, vibrant commentary and bent semantics distinguish the flavour of his work.

Stuart’s work has been featured in editions of the Semi-Permanent Book, Hello Poster Show and No Years Music Festival and he has illustrated for the likes of Burton SnowBoards and Peats Ridge Music Festival.
While this free spirit builds a bank of imagery, a solid client list and the knowledge of a Guru, his imagery remains accessible to all, punctuated with irony and wisdom. ‘If we ran all the time we would get tired and have sore knees. If we walked all the time we would get left behind. Let the journey decide!’
