Client: Silk Road Film Festival
The inspiration behind the designs  was the ancient silk road itself. The 3D hand crafted, paper letters represents steps on the road. S for China, R for India, F for the Arabic world and F for Europe.
Every item and detail in the images is made out of paper by me.

Letter S - China
Chinese dragon, pavilion, landscape and waterfall dominates on the first letter S. I've made a ram on the rock representing the New Year of the sheep in 2015.
Letter R - India
The vibrant indian coloures and naturalistic patternes represents India on the letter R. The indian elephant is the bearer of immerse houses on its back, the peacock as the national symbol sits on a well-known indian landscape of the stair well.
Letter F - Middle East
All the soft yellow coloures can be found on the first kletter F representing the Arabic world. At the bottom I made a paper cedar tree of Lebanon, next to it the desert can be found with the arabian camel. The famous arabic falconry got its place above the tree, while the typical arabic mosques stand on top of the letter with huge cultural significance.
Letter F - Europe
The final step of the ancient silk road is on the last letter F: Europe. Europe with its greek columns, Roman Amphitetrum and Venice. The spine of the letter is the mediterranean sea itself, the vast water surface with ships and dolphins.
