Agricultural chemical supplier Deosan initialised the CDU project and asked Sharp Concepts to design a unit to safely and accurately deliver a measured amount of acid or alkaline detergent, into a milking plant cleaning system.

The design uses the existing vacuum supply in a milking system to draw a measured amount of chemical into the CDU’s canister.

Eliminates handling of dangerous chemicals, prevents spillage, and increases safety in the dairy.  

Provides efficient delivery of chemical solution avoiding wastage.

The transparent canister provides a good visual indication of the amount of chemical being dispensed into the wash tank while providing a distinctive aesthetic.
 
An integral tap handle provides positive action for switching both vacuum and chemical lines.

Innovative design and tooling was required to facilitate initial low production run requirements.

This project required extensive product testing both in-house and on site.
