CITYSPACES AIGION

The video took 5,821 images for the time lapses and 80 min. of drone flights for the aerial footage to boil them down to 7,46 min. of movie. In consists of sceneries from the town of Aigion in Achaia Greece and the wider countryside. It is meant to be an impression of the area through selected glimpses. The technique of timelapse is used to add an extra layer of time passing and to provide a link in the visual narrative. Some scenes also become more dramatic while others more fun. The aerial footage with the drone is used to add new and unusual to the pedestrian view, vantage points and thus present some fresh sights even to people who reside in the area. A selection of screenshots is presented along with the video to hint on the one hand the cognitive processes (like cognitive maps) and on the other the combination of still and moving images.
