This short film was my firs tryst with professional film making. Taken up as an elective subject, it was shot and completed within four days.
Scripted and directed by me, 'AKSH' or 'Aaj Ka Super Hero' as I fondly call it, was screened at the auditorium of NID before an audience of entire student community there.
The film gave me a chance to explore the art as well as technical details of film making.

the ancient art of storytelling
The documentary covers the history of the ancient art of puppetry in India. It talks about how over a period of centuries, the art gradually lost it's impact among people and how in modern times, dedicated artisits are trying to revive the artform.
The story here has been narrated in a way that the viewer is taken back and forth in time. I did the screenplay, editing and voice over for the film.
