Diavolo Rosso of Asti (my hometown) is a non-profit organization that provides entertainment, arts and culture being on the market and allocating profits to new activities and projects of solidarity. It really is one of the last cores of cultural and musical promotion in the whole region, so when a few months ago it seemed like it could close (because it was apparently violating a regolation about volume after midnight in the city center) a very large group of people stood up in its defense.
Shortly after some aficionados (including me) created a Facebook group and a Twitter account in order to focus all these attentions in one place and at the same time make the protest look "more official".
We called it Al Diavolo Asti! (a word play, meaning "Asti can go to hell") and I proposed for creating a representative logo for it.
PERSONAL ARTWORKS
Once the Facebook group was created the contents began to flow. This page not only gathered together a huge percentage of Asti residents and not who came to Diavolo Rosso during these years, but also musicians and artists who performed there, some of them for their first time.
Trying to promote even further the very high cultural power this place has I made a couple artworks inspired by well-known art pieces, along with the slogan Il Diavolo è cultura /Diavolo is culture.
POSTER FOR PUBLIC ASSEMBLY
In December we got the attention we wanted, The Mayor announced a public assembly to discuss the problems related to the regolations and the actual need for cultural promotion in our town. The partecipation needed to be high in number, propositive and various, so I made a poster to hang around to keep people aware.
