The Commitments, a new design advertising company in Amsterdam, asked us to create a conceptual portrait series of their employees. All four turned out to have tasks which involved the oldskool tool of a sharpener, pencil, post-it and scissor. In this particular order they also made a connection together. The sharpener sets the groundrules, as the pencil draws the ideas out which is set up on a post-it and eventually cut to the right part and form with the scissor.
