The basic assignment: Pick a workhorse font and a decorative font that compliment eachother and go from there. Originally just a class exercise, I wasn't sure I would ever do anything with this book, but during my final quarter at the
Art Institute of Virginia Beach, I was given the opportunity to reinvent this piece, making it more than a boring exercise.
By cutting out the tacky, unneccessary add-ins required in the original assignment, I was able to give this font book a new meaning: a promotional font book distributed by Latinotype (producers of the typeface "Sofia") that shows how their newest font can pair perfectly with any typeface, new or old, as seen through its pairing with American Typewriter.
