For my Senior Project at the Art Institutes, I chose to focus on the natural phenomenon of bioluminescence; how it works, what some of the uses are, and the creatures that use it. I combined the action of bioluminescence with my love for illustrating by creating a series of posters, each featuring an animal known for using bioluminescence, then incorporated the action of bioluminescence by using black light-activated paint on top. This resulted in the poster appearing like a simple illustration in normal light, but when exposed to a black light they will glow and appear like they would in the wild.
