St. Mary's Menston Art and Design Windows

I worked with Miss D Quirke, subject leader for Art and Design at St. Mary's Menston Catholic Voluntary Academy in Leeds UK to cover the windows to our Art classroom.

We chose Sixth Form (aged 16–18) pupils' work. The middle window showed a wide selection of colours (I created it using Adobe Illustrator) as well as nice typography and inspiring statements that Miss Quirke chose.

The display was a success and what was a plain area has been transformed into a pleasant part of school and welcomes pupils into their Art lessons. It is also a very busy area as it is on the way to our History, Geography and Maths classrooms.

The material is vinyl and it was printed and fitted by Quarmby Colour, based in Leeds.

I really like:
The wide variety of colours
The portrait is produced at a large size and it's quite striking in person
The wonderful shade of luminous yellow/green on the 'fragments' piece of art on the right side
